Alyson Nuno, LPC

Alyson Nuno is a Master’s level clinician who specializes in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, self-injury, and chronic suicidality. She has provided treatment to adolescents and adults in both individual, family and group settings. Alyson has specific training and experience utilizing evidence-based therapeutic strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She has Level 2 and 3 Foundational Training through Behavioral Tech, and has also completed supplemental Level 4 trainings in adaptations of DBT for different populations.
Alyson completed her Master’s degree in School and Mental Health Counseling at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Alyson is licensed in the state of Delaware and Commonwealth of Virginia. She believes in helping clients to find a balance of acceptance and change in order to create a life worth living.
When she is not at work, Alyson is at home with her three children and partner in Delaware. She enjoys being outdoors, at the beach in particular, and fantasizing about real estate. Her long term "career worth having goal" is to be able to offer "DBT at the beach," teaching skills by the water.
