Individualized Intensive Programming (IOP)

Why Individualized Intensive?

Many hospital systems offer IOP programs that are group based and the interventions are general instead of targeted. This means that you are amongst peers who may have very different goals. Conversely, our approach allows for intensive treatment across all our program (DBT, ERP, Eating Disorders, ABA) and is based on the needs of the specific client and family.

Clients who request intensive programming are often in acute distress related to OCD, anxiety, or emotion dysregulation. Many have left their jobs or academic setting to focus on treatment in hopes of returning as soon as their symptoms are manageable.

Typically, intensive programming follows this outline:

  1. Assigned to individual therapy who coordinate your care and treatment plan

  2. Several individual sessions to develop treatment plan and schedule care

  3. Daily meetings to address treatment targets

  4. Reduced frequency of sessions (once/weekly) as intensity of symptoms resolves

“There’s never a good time for Mindfulness, and there’s never a bad time. Mindfulness is one of those things you simply do, because if you practice being aware - completely open to the universe, just exactly as it is - you will transform your life in time.”
