CAREERS

  • Job Description:

    Master's level clinicians conduct individual, family, and group/skills classes. Ideal applicants should have experience treating eating, anxiety/OCD, mood, and/or personality disorders (specifically Borderline Personality Disorder). This position is well-suited for applicants with intermediate to advanced knowledge of CBT, exposure-based techniques, and DBT. Applicants interested in the DBT program will have demonstrated experience in being part of an adherent DBT treatment team, which includes individual therapy, skills class, phone coaching, and consultation teams.

    Psychologists will conduct individual, family, and group/skills classes. Applicants should have ample experience treating eating, anxiety/OCD, mood, and personality disorders (specifically Borderline Personality Disorder). The position is well-suited for applicants with intermediate to advanced knowledge of CBT, exposure-based techniques, and DBT used in the treatment of anxiety, eating, and personality disorders. Ideal applicants will have demonstrated experience in being part of an adherent DBT treatment team, which includes individual therapy, skills class, phone coaching, and consultation teams. Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program in clinical psychology is required.

  • Job Description:

    Provides a full range of psychiatric services to adolescent and adult outpatient behavioral health patients predominately diagnosed with eating and anxiety disorders. Completes initial assessment and evaluation of patients and provides ongoing monitoring of patient's behavioral health/medical condition(s) and provides treatment. Orders prescription medications and diagnostic procedures as needed. Creates a plan of care tailored to the individual which may include a medication prescription with follow up appointments and/or a referral to one of our mental health or dietary staff/programs. Responsible to provide psychiatric services as required and within the standards of professional psychiatric and medical care. Provides clinical consultation to multidisciplinary team. Responsible to attend multidisciplinary meeting with staff. Psychiatrist will report to the Clinical Director. Completion of an appropriate residency program required. Completion of Medical Doctorate required. Must hold current, active license to practice medicine in Virginia.

TRAINING

  • We offer clinical externship opportunities for students that are in a clinical psychology doctoral program. This clinical externship is 9-12 months in duration, often starting at either the beginning of summer or fall of the academic year. Applicants should have basic knowledge and/or training in and a desire to further learn about DBT, eating disorders, anxiety disorders, or disorders where emotion dysregulation is the primary symptom.

    Students should be enrolled in an APA accredited program in clinical psychology. Please note we only accept (PhD or PsyD) students.

  • We offer clinical externship opportunities for students that are in a clinical psychology doctoral program. This clinical externship is 9-12 months in duration, often starting at either the beginning of summer or fall of the academic year.   • WE ARE PAUSING OUR INTERNSHIP TRAINING FOR TE 2025-2026 YEAR.

    We are a member of the Association of Psychology Predoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC). Our APPIC member number is 2504. We are currently pursuing APA accreditation of our internship program.

    This position is suited for doctoral candidates pursuing a PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology who are enrolled in an APA accredited program. An ideal applicant will have excellent clinical skills and research interests, as well as desire to conduct individual, group, and family therapy.

    Our practice specializes in utilizing evidence-based treatments, including comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Multi-Family Dialectical Behavior Therapy (MF-DBT), Maudsley model FBT for adolescent eating disorders, Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). As such, applicants should have experience treating anxiety/OCD, mood, and personality disorders (specifically Borderline Personality Disorder). There is a strong preference for individuals who have prior training/clinical experience in using evidence-based practices, especially in the areas of DBT, CBT-E, and exposure-based protocols.

    Predoctoral interns will have the opportunity to be part of an adherent comprehensive DBT team, as well as a multidisciplinary eating disorder treatment team and intensive OCD treatment team. Opportunities to engage in ongoing research, program development, and conducting psychological evaluations are also available. Predoctoral interns may also choose to foster supervision skills via the provision of informal supervision with predoctoral externs.
