Chronic Pain

  • Chronic pain is pain that has persisted over a significant period of time, typically lasting longer than 6 months. Despite numerous attempts to relieve chronic pain, many individuals continue to endure such symptoms on a daily basis. This in turn, often results in feelings of frustration, hopelessness, invalidation, and possible co-occurring mental and physical health concerns.

  • Our providers use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to treat individuals with chronic pain. It is found that while individuals can not control the experience of pain, one can learn to control reactions to pain through use of CBT and DBT skills. Our providers will also work hand in hand with your medical providers to ensure specialized care tailored to your individual needs.
